Re: DreamArena 3 - New Browser Development
I’ve been following this for several months, and gotta say it looks better every update! I understand there is IRC functionality, but i’m curious if there might be some sort of forum or community feed for users to post to? I remember several services working well on Dreamcast back in the day like UltraBoard, Beseen, or phpbb.

Forum functionality isn't something I'll be building for a couple of reasons. Firstly I can't build databases, and have never worked on any forum code before. Secondly there are security issues with spambots posting porn and crud constantly - considering we'd have to use a very outdated forum code, I doubt we'd have any way to fight off such spambots.
Perhaps in future, once I can find help in learning basic databases. In the meantime we have IRC and we have connectivity to Discord in the browser, with this forum here on PCs/mobile phones.
Though if you know anything about forums, you're welcome to pitch in Be great to have as many features as possible.

Man wasn’t expecting all of this to come out. I would love to see the look on the faces of the highest ups at Sega back then if someone told them the dreamcast would become this in the future.

The benefit of using an IRC relay bot for Discord is that every browser that includes IRC capabilities is already ready to go for Discord. We're going to make it a pre-set option too, so it should be easily accessible when you access the browsers.-drez01- wrote:It uses an IRC relay discord bot. Proof of concept:

I'm currently working on database-stuff (Still very much learning, but slowly getting a hang of things) and also building a unique background artwork for the Mega Drive page. The Dreamcast page has a wonderful San Francisco sunset art, Saturn has the space design, so for the Mega Drive I've decided to replicate a classic part of Sega's history by rebuilding the entrance to SegaWorld in the Trocadero, London (circa 1997).
This is one of the reference images, and the clearest in terms of details, to the Sonic standee area. And below are two WIP stills of the artwork (rebuilt off of a low resolution photo). Bear in mind that it's far far from finished, with texturing and lighting effects to be mapped in yet (as well as finishing several main build areas, such as the round desk to the right of the Sonic podium). The "pink" windows behind were screens, which I'll make transparent and add animated GIFs of something classic SEGA.
Fifteen years ago I used to be immense at pixel art. I'm very rusty, so this is going to take me quite some time to actually polish off. Hope the concept whets your appetites though

Re: DreamArena 3 - New Browser Development
How are you loading gens4all from this when it's a kos bin and non gdrom format every time i try to load any kos bin from these browsers on hardware it's a black screen it works on demul but dont be fooled by that..
Must be doing something wrong or it's just aes4all or chui's projects that will not boot from it .. I even wrote a loader that should of worked and it does not
crashes when it inits MMU
