 I just remembered the name of that game: The Lost Golem :)

Also I can't believe I missed out Cosmic Smash and Under Defeat  , two of the finest Dreamcast games !

I definitely agree with Ikaruga and Aero Dancing, especially Aero Dancing i (the one with the Harrier jump jet on the front).

Oh, and Rainbow Cotton. Only had a quick blast of this so far but am impressed.

Sounds pretty interesting. I can't find any gameplay of it on YouTube though. Only the intro story.

Haha I just watched that Youtube 'story' video(more like a slideshow of still images from the game) and it certainly looks good but really it's only a very simple, though undoubtedly charming, puzzle game.

It's said that The Lost Golem had one of the smallest print run of any Dreamcast game with less than a thousand copies being sold. This is quite worrying as I can't find my copy anywhere !
I may have to buy it again as I did enjoy playing it. it's a timeless concept which I always treasured and believe it to be one of those games that always belonged on the system.

Oh yeah, don't forget all the schmups released after 2001 up until 2008. If you or anybody else is looking to buy any of these games, be warned ! Most of them sell for silly money nowadays due to being so collectable. Expect to pay £100+ for many of them and considerably more for games like Border Down.

BTW, there was a copy of Cosmic Smash that went for under £25 on Ebay the other day so it's still possible to pick up the odd japanese bargain.

I just bought Rainbow Cotton for what I think is a pretty good price. It was at least half the amount other sellers were asking so I feel like I've got a bargain(apparently the seller was having a bit of a clearout). It was £22 + £1.99 p&p and is in mint condition complete with spine card, or at least it is according to the seller who has a 99% rating on over 6,000 sales.

I think it was game_player_s who suggested I played a burned copy of the game before buying so I took his advice. It only took me 5 mins to realise I wanted the game and tbh I'm not really sure why it isn't held in better esteem as I found it to be very enjoyable. Can't wait to receive it in the post.

 Mike, I can't believe noone's mentioned the Gundam series ! I've had no more than a quick blast on 0079 and I've been meaning to play the rest of those games for years now, just never got round to it :?

Think I'll take your advice and start with zeon as I've heard good things about it. Mmmm..........I think I'll have to buy it as I don't seem to have it. Strange that ! I really thought I owned that game lol

Are the Gundam games playable with the Twinsticks ? I might be asking too much here but it would be cool to have that option.

ok twinsticks umm well i dont remember if i tested i will send my brother a message and order him to test it since i am unable with my dreamcast being on the other side of the world (thank god i got phantasy star for psp though i would die without being able to play pso.) and yes i would reccomend you buying the game as well. from what i can tell both cd's are kinda the same game for zeon. but the seccond cd gives more more weapon and enemies and stuff. i also think its more random and harder. as for 0079 its good but somewhat dissapointing since you cant when the trial fight without using the machine gun. which complete ruins the point of have the laser riflt. or unless you become so good you can use the laser rifle iether way ill get back to you on the twinsticks part. but that matters on how long it takes my bro to do it.
