as for adding credits, that could either be done with an iplogo for ip.bin or a second splash screen. or w/e

i already have all of these. i took them strait off of Planet web 3.0. I'm kinda glad you uploaded them cause i wasn't sure what screen you preferred. i took the one i did because it was easier to edit and i think its the normal screen.


I'm not sure what images are the screen saver. i have never edited a screen saver either. is the screen saver the little blue and yellow spheres? if so would i go in and edit each image to make it work?


as for the other images such as the KB and menu options like back foreword and search, what would you like done to them?

i figured out what images are for the screen saver. i am working on a few new graphics for it. i don't think you will want to use them all in it. just pick the ones you like and remove the rest. editing these graphics is very time consuming so this might take me a while. i have to add and remove pieces pixel by pixel.


as for the KB images all i did was remove the border. it should look a little nicer but idk. its hard to think of what to add to it. also idk if editing those images will mess up the functions of the KB. this will have to be tested later.


i also cleaned up the splash i made a little more. and i corrected the small t i had in Talk.


i will post again when i have made more progress.

Gary, that looks really good. But I think you mean Edition, rather than Addition .

I would try to edit some images but I really don't have the time at the moment. I will get around to it someday but what Gary is doing now is perfect.

as for the images messing up the screen. i have no idea. the only way i could test is to edit Pweb with them and then burn it and try it. i can't do all that atm. hell i am not sure how to do it anyway. what i did was open the images of the screen saver and erase them then replace them with new ones. so far i got a few funny looking swirls and 3 sonic characters. so far i have sonic, tails and knuckles. i plan to add a few more.

i think I'm pretty much done. i have all the screen saver images changed. new images are sonic, tails, knuckles, big the cat, Amy, DC robotnik, and shadow. i also have 2 swirls, ones just a red swirl and the other is a gold coin with the swirl on it. i got sick of trying to blend the swirls, especially the coin. it was hard to make it look golden.


i cant think of anything to change in the loading menu icons. ya know the little sphere things with the yellow dot on em? and the planets with the black ball?


i only made one splash screen. its the one i posted. i did fix the word Edition though.


now what would you like me to do with these? do you want me to zip them and email them to you? i do not want to set up a megauploads account or anything like that.

the images must be the same proportion as the original or they will not load. file size makes no difference.
i am interested in seeing the screen saver. on a sidenote i think those same screen saver icons are used for the menu too. i guess we will see.

i have not tested them. i do not have a rip of the browser. i to thought about the screen saver images being the same as the menu, i wonder if its going to mess it up? the screen saver images were made to fit into the same area as the originals so they should work.

i should note that all the thumbnails look like the expanded versions except the splash screen. for some reason its thumb does not show the changes, but it does when expanded. its the first splash, (SPLASH1.JPG) if you can test the images and let me know if the Keyboard and screen saver works that would be cool?

damn it i fixed that shit. wtf lol. yeah it was slightly off, but i went in and made it the same. i guess something went wrong after zipping it.


edit. i figured out why knuckles was off by a tiny bit. i zipped the file. then i fixed that image, forgetting that the original zip had that size issue. i can upload it again. i will wait and see how things go first.

lol omfg the screen saver is out of control! it is too chaotic.
eggman spins too damn fast, actually everything does except sonic and one big dc swirl.
the screen saver just does spin and that is it.
i think the screen saver needs to be something simple.
something like small sega swirl "swirls" with transparent backgrounds. that way when you hover over menu it still shows underneath.
the keyboard looks nice but might look nicer with a transparency effect also. these are suggestions either way i like what you have made so far gary_b.

i don't know if i can make the KB transparent atm. it is possible i can find a plug in to do it. i fear making it transparent could make things harder to see from a distance.


as for the screen saver what do you mean by swirls with transparent backgrounds? the red swirl i made should have a transparent background already. its kinda ugly and needs work but is this the kind of swirl your talking about? or do you mean make more swirls like the ones from the game sega swirl? if you are talking about the swirls from the game, that's not a bad idea. i could make one of each color swirl in the game.

i hope i am not piling on more stuff but i want to have a google splash screen for the google version of this mod also.

i will try to think of something to do for your google splash and see if i can come up with some new swirls tomorrow.
