In the end, it was just a matter of properly formating the sd card

Ok, I'm back to report that actually it wasn't just a matter of properly formating the card.
Eventually the issue came back.
In the end, I just gave up that card and stick with a 16Gb and a 32Gb cards and I'm having no problem whatsoever.
Looks like the card was the problem, though I have been using it on my PSP without any issues since I gave up on using it on the Dreamcast. What was the incompatibility cause? I dunno...

SanDisk has been my go to brand for ODEs. PNY is a good alternative, and for Americans ONN brand is good
