pressed or not . it's not gdrom speed writing a tool that benchmarks cdr's gdrom every file on the disk

No change in speed to cdr to a pressed cdrom

Back in the day, especially in the PS1 days there were a lot of illegally manufactured bootlegs out there. As the majority came from Hong Kong, they are mainly referred to as "Hong Kong originals"

Ironically the majority of these discs for Dreamcast originated from Russia. There are quite a few weird ones out there, for example in Russia they even pressed Half-Life for Dreamcast and the home-brew Doom (collections) for example.

It's a pressed backup , it's not common i like it for this . I also had cd printers , labelfash discs and burner and yamaha cdrwf1 which print on the burning area ( I made some research to reproduce the sega saturn ring copy protection with this technique)

tell this to the residents of Russia, where the Dreamcast was not officially shipped and where absolutely all the games were on such disks, and everyone had only one licensed one, DreamON, which came bundled with the console
welcome to the flea markets of Russia, there are millions of copies of these rare discs here

n Brazil it is very common and easy to find, it is industrially pressed and has a very good quality similar to the original. But its a CD .

Exactly, in Brazil they were known precisely as "CDs prensados", you can find many of these games for the PlayStation one and the Dreamcast. The first CDs of this type for the Dreamcast came without boot, forcing the player to purchase the Utopia disc.
I completely ignore the origin of these CDs, but it was interesting to see how they simulated the ring and also wrote the name and region of the game on the disc.

Wish I could be this fortunate back in the days . Here where I live in Italy was very hard to find dreamcast backups . I remember clearly the day I found someone in a near city selling burned ones with utopia bootloader . I also not knew it was possible to run them without a modchip ( I had no internet connection). When I was back home I felt very surprised they were working
