Can do the same and play 400+ bitrate flac files using the serial port no wear unlimited space no mod plug in etc

The last Audio that the GD-Rom drive played was a FEAR live concert CD.
Soon I will return to the GD-Rom + Serial Dreamshell.
CD/GDrom fails less than de SD card. I have to format the SD every 3 months. Jajjajaj

Back in 2000 when I got my first dreamcast, I put a cd in it as a test, because I was curious to see it play music cd's. And the music from that cd sounded really nice. But I prefer using my dreamcast for gaming.

Ah the sega rally 2 cdda soundtracks...
Now I listen sometimes the skies of arcadia original soundtrack.

Gdemu users : you can stick a music CD in discJuggler create a cdi , load it up on the Dreamcast and it will launch the CD player!

I've tried it briefly but it doesn't seem to have a whole lot of features or options. I think the Saturn's cd player is probably the most robust of any game console I've ever used, but I swapped my Saturn disc drive for a fenrir anyway

I've actually started using the Dreamcast as a CD player in the past few months. I burned a music disc and have it playing while I'm cleaning.
It also made me realise how careless I am with my DreamPi. I oughta store that thing somewhere, I don't want to accidentally step on it!
If only the Dreamcast could play movies...

The DC’s stock CD player is pretty underwhelming. As mentioned, the Saturn’s CD software has way more features.
