Ah, just thought you were perhaps referring to those terrible Dragoncast Vs. Cables that advertise such game to work with them

But yes, a missed opportunity indeed not just for this game, but many others that seemed perfect for such treatment like Spawn ITDH and Outtrigger...

Are the Dragoncast cables that bad ? Or is it the misleading crap on the box which annoys you ?

Both lol! Yes the DragonCast Vs cables are of questionable quality or so I hear from many who have a hard time getting them to function properly...

I got the japanese version of this game from an eBay seller, this week (cheapest option). I can't say this game plays as solid as the original, but there are so many things making up for this, and even though the handling is a little jacked and physics different from the original, you can get used to all that and win races.

BTW, the japanese version has the analog sensitivity adjuster setting. On default it's set to use the whole analog stick movement as an indicator, to handle more precise, but I gotta say; I would've liked it to go above maximum usage. XD
The default analog calibration seems to be the best setting in there. If there's something I've missed, a way for me to turn even more precisely, like in the original, I would like to know. I can pull off wins in normal mode, haven't tried hard yet but I think that will be total rape on several courses.
Connection! Hooray!!!

Excuse me people but it seems that the Japanese missed the FU**IN' SENSITIVITY OPTION. It should've been below the "MAX" bar.

Big problem!
I've just discovered that the Japanese version is the only one without this option.

Yup! I was a bit confused when you said that the JPN version had his option as it clearly does not. Well, that didn't stop me from picking up a copy at a local shop for a fiver! I love Daytona on the Dreamcast regardless!
