I do like the Budokai games, is it playable in the UK or is it pretty dialogue heavy? I do like imports but for example Hundred Swords was really hard to enjoy... colour me interested tho

Yeah. It was released in the UK and Japan only, so it is a PAL version. I imagine it would be rare nowadays, but I'm really not sure. You should check it out. Really fun game. No heavy dialogue or text. Just a fast-paced action fighter closely resembling the action in the anime. I recommend owning it. :)

Dragon Ball Z: The Legend to be more exact. I think that's the official UK title of it. It would definitely be a great addition to your collection.

Here's the cover.

Sorry, man. I couldn't tell ya. Those are the only non-Japanese covers I could find. I would imagine they're in English, but I don't know for sure. I own the Japanese version, myself.

I see there are only two complete copies for sale on eBay right now. I'd jump on them if I were you (the PAL one).

yeah I'm bidding on that shit lol, have you played it then I assume? and is it any good? I'm glad they went with sprites rather than trying to use 3d models on the Saturn... that would NOT have been pretty lol

Oh I've played the game a lot in the past. And yes...it is good. Your money won't be wasted.

In my humble opinion, its one of the best Dragon Ball games that were made in the 90's (before next gen.) because of the system it uses. The controls are very simple and easy to learn. The gameplay is fast-paced and can be CRAZY at times..much like the anime. The graphics are a bit dated by today's standards, but that's a gimme. Even so, they were done fairly well, I think. The sound effects and voices are straight out of the anime and sound good, and the music is AMAZING. Kenji Yamamoto did a fantastic job with the soundtrack.

here, check my vids..

With that said, the ONLY reason I would rather play the PlayStation version over the Saturn version is because the graphics are a tad better to look at in a couple areas. Everything else is identical, though. Its a really fun game once you get into it.

If I would compare it to any other game, I would say Power Stone is similar, except you can fly at will in DBZ.

Good luck, man. 8-)

cool well I'm bidding on a copy which ends in a day or 2 so we will see what happens, hopefully I'll win it and will be able to play it in a week or two... thanks for the suggestion!

on a side note regarding my collection, I've just received two upgrades for my new pc, a Radeon HD 6870 card and a Corsair CX500 PSU... can't wait to tinker and get Witcher 2 running on UBER settings!
