Buying PAL/NTSC-J games...

hi there!

well, finally i have the courage (and/or the conditions) for start buying some dc games i really like. and then, i found that here (in Brazil) isn't really easy find something in good shape.

so, i think i gonna start seeing ebay. there are 2 games in my short range, shenmue 2 and rez. well, i know that japanese games can run well in my dreamcast, but dont know about the europeans. shenmue 2 for example, i dont know japanese to play a game like this, so i must go for the european version.

so, my question: the dc-x boot disc can convert the video frequency, from 50 to 60Hz? japanese games are ntsc too, so i never had any problem running them. but, what about european ones?

talking about shenmue 2, it is one of those games thal already allow this choice, without any tricks?

Most PAL releases have a 50/60hz selector build inside, this also counts for both Shenmue II and Rez :-)

tks! this makes things a little less difficult.

but, if a game dont have this feature, the dc-x can do this work? i know it can enable vga mode for some games, but this frequency change... i'm not sure.

I think a NTSC-U Dreamcast converts the signal itself. You'll be fine. :)
