can you guys help me verify some stuff??

I'm going through my PAL games to see which are vga compatible, which are not & which can be tricked (by means of a bootdisk: DC-X, CodeBreaker or something similar). now I need to know which (legit) US counterparts work in vga & which don't. I do not want/need anyone copying of/ or linking through to (faulty) online lists, I know where to find them & I also know they are inconclusive.
What I do need is for you to actually put your legit game in your dreamcast & see with your own eyes what happens. (and try it with a bootdisk first if nothing does :p).

I also have a few PAL games that need testing, but that are sealed and I don't want to open them at this moment so if someone could test em for me please.

obviously when I'm all done I'll share my info with you all ;)

these are the US games I need tested (if they don't work from first try, do it again by shutting your dreamcast off, putting in a bootdisk first & then your game, also start a new game as some games boot to vga, play the intro, but then freeze up)

-Capcom Vs Snk *checked* vga comp
-Disney Dinosaur
-Heavy Metal Geomatrix*checked* vga comp
-KISS Psycho Circus
-NFL Blitz 2000 *checked* works with bootdisk
-Pen Pen
-Rippin'Riders *checked* vga comp

these are the PAL games I need tested as mine are sealed (if they don't work from first try, do it again by shutting your dreamcast off, putting in a bootdisk first & then your game, also start a new game as some games boot to vga, play the intro, but then freeze up)

-Sno Cross Championship
-Street Fighter 3:Third Strike
-Virtua Tennis 2
-Buggy Heat
-Tokyo Highway Challenge 2

thanks guys

I can tell you that Rippin' Riders needs a boot disc to run in VGA.

Edit:

It DOES NOT require a boot disc.

Off of the US list I can tell you that right out the gate, CVS1 and Heavy Metal Geo are VGA compatible. I dont't know which Blitz you're refering to (2000,2001) but I know for a fact that the former must be tricked, but does indeed work on VGA.

I assume he's talking about the original NFL Blitz (2000) but if he's referring to 2001 then I can say it does support VGA natively.

Well whatever the case, they both seem to be VGA compatible in one way or another lol!

CDAGES: it was blitz 2000 (we didn't get 2001 in europe, so there's no counterpart :p)

Alright, I made a mistake. Rippin' Riders DOES NOT require a boot disc. I was thinking of TrickStyle. Sorry about that.

Hey maz maybe you can find out something for me. I have the "All Stars" version of Hydro Thunder and I'm not able to get it to work in VGA no matter what I do. I've heard that Hydro Thunder is supposed to work in VGA with a boot disc so I'm thinking it has something to do with it being the All Stars version. If you have a copy can you test it out for me?
