Yeah that what i thought as well becase the normal battery is a lithium primary (non rechargeable). i havent tried using a lithium ion cell in a VMU to see how long it lasts or to see if the VMU or battery of this size has a low voltage cut off to keep from draining the battery, Fully depleating a lithium ion battery is a no no, it can and will damage the cell to where it will not take a charge. say a 3.7 volt cell can only be drained to 3.0 volts any lower then that and you run the risk of not recovering the battery from the low voltage state. a lithium primary can be fully depleated due to it a one time use battery.

Nope.
pcwzrd13 wrote:Well, after some careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that it's probably not worth it. I can get 25 name brand (maxell or panasonic) or 100 no-name CR2032s on eBay for the same price. I'd have to play the VMU constantly for it to pay off. Oh well.

Hey guys, so I managed to get my hands on some LIR 2032 and ML 2032 batteries with a LIR 2032 charger. I did some testing on them and I posted the results on this video.

In short, the LIR 2032 batteries suck for VMU usage but the ML 2032 are not so bad. The good thing is that there is going to be a charger specifically for the ML 2032 coming early next year that maybe will make the ML 2032 last as long as the CR 2032 battery.

That is ironic that after my previous post, my status became "lithium."
