Planet Web 3.0 Mod Download

maybe a larger google logo and sonic. simplicity.
title it Planet Web 3.0 like the other one xcept now it is "Google Edition"
i dunno.

i made a few changes to the image and edited the new one into my last post. it now says edition in rainbow colored text, like the google text. i enlarged the google a tad bit too. i moved the images around. putting the dreamcast logo on top and google on bottom. i also put a image of sonic flexing his muscles.

ok I'm done making the new changes. personally i like the one with the blue swirl. if you do not like it i removed it in one of the new splash screens. i will list whats what bellow.


(SPLASH1.JPG) is the original spash i made for dreamcast-talk.
(SPLASH2.JPG) is the google one i made with the blue swirl.
(SPLASH3.JPG) is made from SPLASH1 with rainbow google edition text.
(SPLASH3_OLD.JPG) is made from SPLASH2 without the blue swirl.
(SPLASH4.JPG) is made from SPLASH1 with black google edition text.

i would recommend SPLASH3_OLD. or if you don't care to much for that one i would go with SPLASH3. i kinda like the white screen with the flexing sonic myself.


as for the other changes i made. i edited the arrows and made some new screen saver images. i cleaned up the original red swirl and made a shrunken version of it. i also made some from the segaswirl game. i included the corrected DFLT02.GIF file too. so if you want to use the sonic images you will have the right size knuckles. lastly i experimented with some bubble images. its hard to say if they will look good or not.

if anyone is interested in a sonic character avatar like the knuckles one i have. download the images from the link. after you have them you will have to open the one you want with paint or another program that can change the file type to one that is excepted for Dreamcast-Talk avatars. i am not sure all what file extensions are excepted. mine is .png. so if you open the one you want with paint, then (save as) .png you should be good to go.

gary you are right.
splash 2 with the logo looks nice, i guess it looked odd with the one you posted because the background being white, made it look unproportional.
splash 3 old looks nice too.
also i like the shrunken swirl and the sega swirl "swirls"
i will check and see what the orb icons look like also

don't forget to use the new arrows i made too. i didn't do to much to them but its something new. i wonder if they function correctly?

the sega swirl "swirls" look great as the screen saver.
and i found that the screen saver cycles through different modes.
spin, to swarming, to slow movement. all of what i have seen.
can i get each color of swirl?

you have all 4. or should anyway. the game only has orange purple green and blue. if there is another i must have missed it?


or do you mean the blue pal swirl logo?

i made a blue swirl. like the one on PAL DCs. as for the vmu idk. if its an image like these ones i could edit it. i know that there is vmu writing software out, its used for making mini games and such. i guess its possible to make vmu screen with it and replace the old one?

anyhow i have an idea..it might not work though.
to mod the ginsu.ini from pw 2.6 and add a menu at start.
it would hopefully work since pw3 calls ginsu but the file is not found in any directory. the idea is to bring up a menu at start. then choose either sega swirl or pw browser. another idea.

sounds like an interesting idea. i guess it wouldn't hurt to try it.

here are a few more screen saver icons. i made 2 PAL blue swirls 1 big and one small. and i made a 3dish looking red one, big and small.
