how to play pso with a new dreamcast

hello, i have a new dreamcast and i would love to transfer my old character to this new dreamcast, is there a way to do this?

and by the way, does anyone have a serial?i have a japanese original copy but from what i remember, serials from japanese copies were not accepted...

You need to erase the flash memory in case the previous owner played PSO, then configure your ISP settings and insert your PSO disc. You should be asked to enter your serial number before you even reach the title screen. Once you do this, you should be able to load your original characters on the new Dreamcast. If you played both V1 and V2, insert the V1 disc first and enter your V1 serial, then switch to the V2 disc and enter your V2 serial so that both serials are saved in the flash.

I only have a japanese v2 copy, i'll try that, but i think i was using a shared serial last time
