I haven't tried myself, but I'm getting flashbacks of when this was released at the time - and other ppl said the same thing.
Would be good if someone could (re) confirm this?
we need to test this.

hi, i just booted Roommania 203 from Dreamshell a few times with and without a mic plugged in. it boots and plays just fine without a mic.
the .CDI i tried (MGR) seems to hang at the title screen with or without a microphone.
I had a gdrom copy of this that I got on ebay and it would never successfully boot for me so I returned it. The seller lived nearby so she tested and said it worked - the only difference between our systems was that hers was a Japanese system and mine was a US system (actually it may have had the link83 bios on it). My theory at the time was that the game might have a console region check in it. I think maybe Silver and San Francisco Rush 2049 might have also had region checks.

All of the versions I have tried dont get past the loading screen.
I downloaded the GDI from archive.org and optimized it, playing it in Dreamshell it works fine, the only drama is a Rent a hero N1 game style andyou need to know japanese or you will not understand anything, it is an interesting game to translate!
