System Disk 2

Since this is a Dreamcast site has anyone considered the development side? Well I'll explain what System Disk 2 is. These discs were used to enable a retail Sega Dreamcast unit to read Sega Dreamcast GD-R media encoded in the same region as the unit. If you ever come across a Propeller arena disk you will need one of these.

Since these disks are rare and go for a lot of money I can give the file to burn to a disk if anyone is really interested to getting a rare disk working.

Thanks for the link, I don't have any use for it now, but it will probably come in handy down the road.

Thanks for posting the link James. I wish segakatana.com was still up (recently was) The guy there had a DC development thing and all the hadrware + GD-roms. He hacked a couple of games and did some homebrew stuff i think . I'm sure he could have explained to you more about this system disk, etc. His site is not even in the internet archive.

A lot of different sites like that went down recently.

It nearly broke my heart when the "Sega of Japan Update" scam went around sometime last year. The one where everyone said that Sega of Japan updated their website, asking people, "Do you still have a Dreamcast?". Then you had to give an e-mail address and the serial number of your DC. I don't exactly what it really was, but it was very upsetting.

Building you up, then knocking you back down again.....to only hope that Sega will come back to the console making world.
