Thank you for your comment. Although I bought MSR at launch (November 2000), I only played casually on and off. Car racing games did not really interest me back then. I only began playing MSR properly in 2007.

I will try to get some video replays of my times online at some point.

Some may remember back in 2006 there was an MSR "fan ranking" at the now defunct dcarena.de website, complete with ghost downloads (picture above). I came across it in 2010 and tried to sign up to post times however my application was never approved; it seemed by that time the rankings were "abandoned". They went offline a few years later when the whole site closed down. Thankfully I was able to download most of the top ghosts before this happened and can make them available again (although they may "crash" depending on which version of the game you have).



I used the Merge Records function to combined the records on my MSR save with records from other VMU saves I found online (Blue Swirl/Dream Explorer, Gamefaqs and even a fan's archived website that still had the VMS file intact). While I may hold the best times, I certainly do not hold the best Kudos scores! You can see that the game rewards "style" much more highly than "skill".

PS Here is my Fisherman's Challenge best lap replay (The clear weather version is on the leaderboard). I can email the Time Trial files to those who wish to race them (assuming you have Gmail set up via DreamPi).

TRACK NAMES AND LOCATION CODES

If you save a ghost/time trial within MSR, you will see the track's "location code" visible in the File Manager screen rather than the actual track name itself. This location code shows the city district, the length of the track (S for Short, M for Medium and L for Long) and the track's number as displayed on the Time Attack/Record screens within the game.

For example, "Fishermans S-1" is Jones South; you have the city district Fishermans (short for Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco), the track length (in this case, S for Short) and the track number as displayed on the Time Attack/Record screens within the game (in this case, number 1).

Please note, the Free Roam courses are not listed here.

Hi, i terminated the game at 100% but i have an error to upload my savefile (kudos, speed challenge trials) when i try to upload with the DNS thevpage says invalid main file, any help for the solution?
