Headhunter feature film

So I run a radio show from a local radio station called Ray Radio, called Inside The Cyberpunk Studio. The key theme of the show is film, independent film and Cyberpunk as a genre. Each week I have a special guest who have some experience in film.

This week's guest was someone who I got connected with via a mutual contact, a screenwriter called Ben Trebilcook. Ben's most renowned movie is Mission Impossible III, however he has several other titles under his belt. Some have become features, others did not. One of the movies he was commissioned to write a treatment for was the Headhunter movie in 2003.

He's agreed to send me the treatment, which I'll reveal with his permission when I can. In the meantime, here is a link to the show on Mixcloud. Costs nothing to listen to, and hopefully you'll all enjoy it.

I had heard rumours of this film being optioned back in the day, but there's always rumours circulating about game adaptations (how many times have we heard of there being a Metroid or Halo movie in the works). Soon we may get to see the concept as it was pitched back in the day. In the meantime enjoy the morsels he offers up on the show!

Just a quick update, I received the Treatment 2 weeks ago, read it and it's interesting stuff. I got permission from Ben Trebilcook to release the Treatment to fans, and have agreed to do so through The Sonic Show, and have connected The Dreamcast Junkyard to the announcements as they are best placed to spread it more publicly.

It took a while to secure permissions and there were some company/private information that I had to redact from the front page. I will update again when the film treatment has been released by The Sonic Show, and will link to Dreamcast Junkyard when they report it.

Very chuffed to have grabbed this exclusive for the SEGA/Dreamcast crowd ^_^ Hopefully you'll all enjoy it when it's released.
