PSO is very picky about the system state when you launch the game, and if the homebrew menu doesn't "clean up" after itself before launching the game, it breaks PSO.

Ah ok. That makes sense. Well I'm sure something can be figured out. Nothing's impossible. ;)

No I said using an IDE-to-SATA adapter would be slower than using straight IDE. It's still much faster than the GD-ROM drive. As far as CF cards go, they're basically IDE so the conversion is very simple and doesn't slow things down like IDE-to-SATA would.

Interesting, I've never even heard of CompactFlash before.

It's the father of the SD card basically. They aren't used all that much anymore except for specialty applications. They're still pretty popular for use in high-end cameras. I think mainly because the transfer speed is much faster than a typical SD card which helps with writing large raw image files in rapid succession.

I believe there were some Sega Naomi adapters made that used CF too which is kinda cool and a full circle thing. ;)

But yeah, before I became a huge proponent of GDEMU, I was always wanting to get an IDE modded DC with Dreamshell, but that game compatibility stagnated for too many years I feel like. I know it was just a few people contributing to it, and Megavolt85 has singlehandedly added a lot of features to it. So it having such high compatibility now is a great thing to see.

Maybe some day I will be able to get one from somebody, but for now I got my GDEMU which is good enough for my use.

Dreamshell is just so feature rich that I wish we had similar with the ODE's.

But yeah, really happy for you guys! I knew one day it would eventually get there!

Here ya go. This is new version that was just released today. Apparently fixes Re-Volt and Speed Devils Online. Haven't tried it yet though.

Edit: Just tested it and it's even better than I thought! MagForce Racing, Re-Volt, Sega Worldwide Soccer 2000, Slave Zero, and Speed Devils Online all work now! That brings us up to 98% compatibility! :D

Does this improve compatibility with the serial SD adapter?
aka DavidHK on DC games.
