New Copy of PSO V2 serial not working.

I just picked up a new copy of PSO V2 and I'm trying to go online with my BBA. I can't get past the serial entry screen when inputting my new SN. I do see my old PSO 1 serial popping up but it won't take the code. I no longer have my old character data on a VMU so how do I get this working? The code in the case has to be good since it was a sealed copy. Any ideas??

I saw the same thing the v1 SNAK prompt n I shat but I put in my v2 credentials n she proceeded

I'm thinking I need to flash out my onboard memory to use this new serial since I no longer have my old character save file? I think it is rejecting the new SN because my PSO 1 old # shows but it won't go online with a new character. Forgive me as I have been away from the PSO classic world for awhile now.

Erasing your flashrom would fix any issues you might have with a stale PSOv1 serial number stored in the flashrom.
