I really don't understand this. At all. This is confusingly worded.
Ok so I reread his offer again and he wants us to come up with boards from 17 consoles? So the emulator he makes uses recycled GDRom boards lol? And he charges out the ass for that? I guess he reuses the chips and has to build them by hand which is time consuming for 1 person making this. But they are still so damn expensive.

Trade in 14 boards not 17. What was confusing about my wording so I can fix it? And yes chips are reused as they are no longer in production. They are pricy but worth every penny.

No it was his wording on his page that got me. The wording you used is more to the point but I was confused at first as to why he would need them but then I realized he was pulling the chips off of the pcb.

Oh yeah haha. Yeah I hope he can find a manufacturer to remake these chips in the future.

I see absolutely no problem into salvaging old GD drives for USB GDRom... he offers practically lifetime warranty anyway.
