we had a great idea on the skype group while discussing quake 1 on dreamcast
titanium studios created an incredible port for the Quake 1 engine way back in 2000. supposedly it only took 1.5 weeks to complete using Windows CE. there is a chance they still have this source code
the CEO of titanium studios is on twitter, and he only has 27 followers. so if all of us here politely requesting he distribute the source code, for the reason of adding 56k multiplayer support and while explaining the current thriving situation of dc online

the open source build we currently have only runs at 320x240 resolution, among other inferiorities compared to the titanium studios port. people even as recent as this year expressed interest in improving the current makaqu quake port, but having the TS QuakeDC build would bypass that, and allow for development of games or porting mods quickly
it's worth a try. he might not use the twitter too much, but he will see the tweets eventually. unlike trying to contact CEOs of larger devs like Gearbox
you can also find an email for titanium studios here, but office people will likely discard it as solicitation
