Dream Passport settings for DreamPi

Does anybody knows how to set up the ISP settings in Dream Passport v3 for the DreamPi? There are a lot of kanji characters and I'm getting a bit lost in the menus - and, for whatever reason, my PlanetWeb disc I used with my PAL Dreamcast refuses to boot on the NTSC-J console I recently acquired (the burned copy of Dream Passport works ok).

Did you try using XDP? You can grab it from here.

You can make XDP work in RGB however you need to pull the video lead out of the DC before the introduction screen hits and then wait until the software has finished loading before plugging it back in. It should then work fine.

Perhaps someone could make a patch for it?

PCWRZD13 posted a link to the XDP download above (hosted on his Dreamcast Live page).

Cool, I'll check it out when I get home. But I don't have RGB cable or pal stuff so it will be hard to check. Especially when the emulators happily show what should be corrupted output.

Hmm, I don't know what, but something seems to be off here. Both PlanetWeb, XDP and Sylverant PSO Patcher v2 refuse to boot on this particular NTSC-J Dreamcast console. Each one of them shows different symptoms (PW simply returns to menu, XDP boots back to menu on the "Licensed by Sega", SPP shows up as an audio CD), bot none of them works.

That burned copy of Dream Passport, on the other hand, works like a charm every time I boot it up, despite being burned like the rest of the CDs. And all of my original games (Sonic Adventure, Eternal Arcadia, Grandia II, PSO v2) are also working fine, as expected. Any idea? Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've been trying both ImgBurn (which didn't fail me before, i.e. my PAL console before GDEmu) and Alcohol 120% (DAO/SAO), both on lowest burn speed.

Alright, I had some free time to tinker around with it some more, and found a Web Browser that works normally on my NTSC-J console: http://www.theisozone.com/downloads/dre ... rt-finale/

That was a bit of success, however when I boot my Japanese copy of PSOv2 (along with the Sylverant PSO Patcher disk), it still shows the warning, that I have no ISP configured - despite saving the ISP information to DC flash from the browser mentioned above. It shows the error while trying to go online, or access the in-game browser. I'm using the original Japanese GD-ROM.

Any idea? Do Japanese games work only with the ISP settings from a Japanese Dream Passport? I remember setting up the ISP on PlanetWeb browser on my PAL Dreamcast, and it worked just fine.
