Re: Help my dreampi isn't working
Yeah, I have a PAL console, however, my cable takes the two nine volt batteries. Also I have provided a picture of the set up. I'm sorry that I couldn't show it hooked up in my tv, it's just I couldn't get properly lighting there so just imagine there is an entremets cable and power cable going into the Pi and a power cable and vga cable going into the Dreamcast
.

Re: Help my dreampi isn't working
sure you have a pal modem? using 2x9v batteries? Did you try it with just 1x 9v battery? Does it do anything that way?
No idea..
Did you try re installing the os on the sd card at all? Sometimes I get a bug or corruption and have to reinstall. hmmm busy busy busy? strange

Re: Help my dreampi isn't working
Ive had this problem. Your line inducer is shorted out. Youll need to make/buy another one. Also if you made your own, make sure your phone cable is brand new and not an old one. That made a huge difference in lag issues.

Re: Help my dreampi isn't working
Fyi I highly highly recommend buying a phone line simulator like a Viking DLE200B off ebay. It is a little pricy but worth the investment as you never have to use batteries. That will help you always rule out voltage issues since the phone line sim provides the power for you.

Re: Help my dreampi isn't working
Hmm, I'm not sure what the issue is.
Presumably the dial tone is being generated (otherwise the Dreamcast would complain if you have blind-dialling disabled), so from that we can probably deduce that the Dreampi software is running, communicating with the modem correctly and the line voltage is fine.
That leaves these possibilities:
1. The Dreamcast Modem is faulty
2. The phone cable is dodgy or has bad signal
3. You have blind dialling enabled and what I said above is still unproven
4. Something bad is happening to the Dreampi software when you attempt to dial
So, firstly could you make sure that blind dialling is disabled - we want to know if the DC can't hear the dial tone. Secondly, could you follow the instructions under "Watch the logs" here: http://blog.kazade.co.uk/2016/02/debugg ... eampi.html
When you then connect you should see on the screen the DreamPi answering the call - if something goes wrong then you can see that too.

Hello, I've included all my dream key 3.0 settings and there is no blind dialling option there but I assume it doesn't blind dial by default. Also I have checked the logs for you and also sent a photo.

Re: Help my dreampi isn't working
I only say its the line inducer because when I used xdp browser on dreamcast It gave me a busy error a few times and on other browsers I got isp not answering. Which was why I got new cords and a phoneline sim it worked for me.
Thats my best guess though. But shouldn't the AT command be on and set to AT&F0? And thats zero not O

Re: Help my dreampi isn't working
Ok yeah definitely looks like a problem between the DC and the pi. New batteries maybe? Where did you get the adapter?
