But ont he other hand we have the far more obscure Neo*Geo Pocket Color that has an excellent library of games, and is Teh Sechs.

I was also thinking of doing up a DS, cause DS's are pimptastical.

I know this is thread is over a year old but thought i'd chime in.

I have a Nomad and it functions very good, as a matter of fact I broke it out of my closet after I picked up a nice Genesis/multiple game purchase to test out the carts I had picked up.
I have to say that I played it over 2 hours and was pretty underwhelmed :(
It's a nice collection piece but it doesn't hold a candle to a modded PSP imo.
I'm not a big DS fan but even that is a huge step up from the Nomad, I would not want to expose my Nomad to travel and such as I have no idea if I could either fix/or replace it if the unthinkable happened, the PSP can be purchased relatively cheap nowadays.

Don't buy a official oldschool Nomad. A cheaper Nomad clone is coming out soon for only $100 with a built in rechargeable battery.

Sega Nomad is cool. You can play Mega Drive (Genesis on North America) Games on it.
