Thanks megavolt! This seems to work just fine on my DC via the serial port - it doesn't crash after the first fight like some people said, I was able to play through multiple fights and didn't encounter any problems. The one issue I had (seemingly not related to the game itself) was that for some reason Dreamshell won't save the loader address; it'll let me enter it, and it seems to work, but then it doesn't retain the setting for some reason. I had to use my keyboard to enter the address, since I couldn't figure out how to do it otherwise. I don't know why it doesn't save the address - it saves all of the other addresses for all of the other games I've tried, and I did it exactly the same for KenJu apart from using the keyboard to enter the address.

Great post, thank you megavolt85, do you have the original rom file? I want to edit the button assignment and write sram to iso via dd cmd, but I don't know how to go to system menu when loading a naomi decrypted rom

Thank you Megavolt for all your hard work.

Just wanted to post some of my findings on getting this going with a SD serial adapter.

Kenju Works best with 0x8CB00000 but you have to use dreamshell since retrodream doesn't have this memory option. Hopefully retrodream can be updated to access it at some point.

Also, people have been saying that it only works for one match and then freezes. After much testing I have found it's more an issue of what characters and or stages are picked that the game has to load as to if it will freeze or not. I have been able to play as many 2 player matches as I want if I select the correct combinations of characters+stage. So there is definitely some 2 player VS action to be had with the serial adapter. I'm currently going through testing to see which combinations work and which do not.
