This game is total ass.

The controls are bad
-any preset, it's more the actual game than dealing with the controller
-most fights feel 1 vs many, not FFA
-the bots straight up cheat
-tiny maps
-controller sensitivity is shit

28k is my score for the challenge. Proof later when I upload the picture.

To each his own I guess. lol I really like the game. Yeah the maps are small but it's got a really cool arcadey feel to it that's really unique for an FPS. I have no problem at all with the controls. Of course I use the keyboard and mouse so I can't comment too much on using a controller.

It's "playable" with quake controls but the game itself feels not good.

Quake plays much much better.

Seriously the maps are about 100x100ft.
On mission 11 I consistently die in the first 3 seconds (clock still shows 2:37:xx)
Jumping physics are weird.
Takes 2 hits to die and aiming your own hits is a terrible experience.
Does not feel like a FFA, multiple times I die from multiple angles yet the bots don't fight each other

Plusses:
Good music,
Multiplayer with people is probably better
Arcade feel

Mission mode just feels bad to me.

Yeah dude you can't really judge the game with a pad... OFC it's terrible, proper controller is everything for an arcade game that was conceived with it in mind. The game was sold with a mouse included, at least in Japan. Also it was def meant for online, solo mode was just a bonus.

This is what the arcade panel looks like originally : https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2826/1063 ... 32cf_b.jpg

the us version was not released with a mouse. all i did was play the game as it was intended by sega... with a dreamcast controller.

anyways, i cant like every game. im a huge fan of monaco and its just as polarizing.

Yeah I know the feeling. My friends dont understand why I hate Virtua Tennis but the controis are terrible, no matter how I swing the compatible SEGA fishing rod I'm almost always missing the ball!

Here's my latest score. I still think it's possible to do a lot better though. The key is that "golden eagle" powerup that spawns on the bridge. That's your ticket to one-shot kills. :)

You should try ChuChu Rocket! with the Pop 'n' Music controller. ;)

We can only show him the path...

Damn nice score, what weapon are you using? I was using Lina's Rifle

Talking about controller this is a pretty cool setup if you own the twins sticks :

Hence my question about using the panther trackball with your right hand as a mouse, but idk if it can be recognized as a sub controller, to get even closer to the arcade panel (without custom mods). I've sadly almost given up on importing the panther In europe since it's only available in NA and besides shipping and customs taxes you have to pay absurd ebay prices which i'm sure are far higher than local ads prices since no one care about this item.

My character's default is the rocket launcher.

I don't own one so I couldn't help you there.
