Hello All! Quake 3 Arena Anyone? :P

Post by QuakeHistory »

Hello,

I found out about Dreamcast Servers on a Quake 3 Arena YT Video. I am used to seeing them but never actually knew they still are online.
I find this to be some cool Schit! I run a Quake 1-3 History Page and was looking to keep Quake 3 updated today.
This is what brought me here and I own 2 consoles but no more a dreamcast. But that may change!
I do have basic questions- one being.. Isn't a PC 'too fast' for a Dreamcast Console on a Server?

I have absolutely no idea. I do know PC and DC can cross platform, and I rarely experience lag. Very fast paced, and fun.

Hello, welcome to the Dreamcast community! Quake 3 is still very much alive here!
We usually start around 7-8pm Est. PC is at a great advantage over the DC due to:
Higher FPS
Better CPU
Broadband (although DC does have Broadband adapter, most people use PI (56k) ).

If you don't have a DC you are more than welcome to come play on PC!
