Howdy : p

This site seems active enough, so I figured Id give it a shot, haha. I just recently got my first Dreamcast. I became interested in the console late 2015, and finally got one about a month ago after watching tons of videos on the console and its library. I am really enjoying it, and wished that I had one of my own earlier, haha.

My little brother had one for a short time growing up, and I liked watching him play it then. But he quickly swapped it out for an Xbox as time went on. Other than that I havent had much experience with the console itself : p

Im honestly more of a Nintendo fan than anything, but Ive always loved Sega too. We had a Genesis growing up longer than we had an NES, and I loved the console at the time. I have alot of memories of that console, especially with playing Double Dragon and the Aladdin game with my brothers, and playing the Power Rangers fighting game and Evander Hollyfields boxing on my own : p After a while we got a N64 and I became completely into it, but we did get a Saturn for a bit too, and I actually loved it as well, I loved playing Virtua Fighter and Daytona USA on it. But sadly my older brother sold it and I never had one again.

But, like I said, I do have a big soft spot for Sega, and Ive been pumped about getting a DC of my own for a while now : p As of right now, the only games I have are-

Zombie Revenge
Soul Reaver
Silver
Carrier
And some demo disk a friend got me : p

Theres a ton more that I want to get though.

(Im really liking Carrier btw, is my favorite so far)

Anywho, Im super talkative and enjoy talking about most things so dont be nervous to say hello if you want to : p

And yeah, SoA is my all time favorite game : p Ive only played it on the Gamecube though, am hoping to one day get it for DC too.

Welcome and enjoy your stay.
What kind of games on the Dreamcast do you like?

Welcome! If you are interested, we can help you get your DC online, become "HD" friendly and recommending games for you if you would like. Online games are listed at the link above if you are interested in those games prior to attempting to get online.

Enjoy your time here at DC-Talk.

Haha, getting online would totally be awesome, yeah. I have no idea how to do it or what Id need though so help would totally be appreciated : p

And I wasnt actually planning on getting games specifically for online play, no. As I didnt intend on playing any online. But there are a few games that I just wanted to get that have online play, I think. Like I know that Quake 3 has an online option.

I can just post games that I wanted to get in general, maybe some of them have online play. Theres really a bunch of them though so will have to think about all of them, I have them written down SOMEWHERE but dont feel like looking them up : p

But games I want to get-

Skies of Arcadia
Grandia 2
Time Stalkers
Record of Lodess War
Shadowman
Vigilante 8 2nd Offense
Shenmue
Sonic Adventures 1 & 2
Quake 3 Arena
Phantasy Star Online (have decided to go for it thanks to a couple of members here)
Armada
Rush 2040-something
Daytona USA
Illbleed
Omikron
Power Stone 1 & 2 but mostly 2
Sonic Shuffle (heard its bad but still want it : p)
Soul Caliber
Dragon Riders: Chronicles of Prym
Last Blade 2: Heart of the Samurai (Feel like I wrote the wrong name there?)
Jedi Power Battles
Guts Rage
Conflict Zone

Theres probly others but cant remember them atm : p
And I dont care if many of them are ports, dunno why that makes a game bad. In fact I played Shadowman on the N64 and loved it, and heard its even better on DC, so now I wanna get it for DC too, haha. I think its great to have an even better version of it.

Im totally cool with recommendations too : p

DreamPi is basically the best way to get online. Here's a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPvNQAi-yeM

Also, get Worms World Party, Alien Front Online, and Seaman. Seaman can be super expensive if bundled with the microphone, but the experience of the game is worth it. I would also advise NOT get Sonic Shuffle. It's not even fun to play as a joke, it's not worth your money. But if you want to buy it, go for it I suppose.

I loved Sonic Shuffle :-P
Played a lot with my friends at the time.

Oh and you are missing Jet Set Radio and Virtua Tennis 1 or 2.

To each their own, i suppose.

Also, get Shenmue II and Planet Ring. They're europe only but you can burn Codebreaker (a dreamcast game that allows you to play games from other regions) to a blank disc and just play it with that.
