The references Juanjo got were Golden Axe, The House of the Dead and some Sonic tunes from the MD classics. While I think the House of the Dead influence is very clear, there's still some percussion heavily inspired by some of those Sonic mechanical/fire/lava stages.

Come on, I can't be the only one hearing this. And given the influence of Bach's Toccata & Fugue on Columns, I think mazonemayu deserves a point too.

Never knew Columns was based off Bach as well, only game I know from the top of my head that uses it, is Gyruss

​Our latest beta is playable right now at Gamescom thanks to Retrospiel, so Xenocider is sharing their booth with the likes of Antarex by 1985alternativo, Tanglewood, Alice Dreams Tournament, Saber Rider and more :)
