It makes sense for it to be that soon. They were going to release it earlier, but for the difficulty getting hold of Microsoft for licensing, and they wanted a simultaneous release (which I can understand).

I am waiting on a little $25 refund thingy for something in the beginning of Feb. Once that hits I am very tempted to get this as to not eat the whole burden of $50.

I read and watched some very negative reviews by those not blinded with some sort of nostalgia by a new Genesis title being released all these years later...I hope they added some fixes as I would like to give this a run =).

Not sure on the pre-order. I was a backer on the kickstarter and paid once the project reached its funding goal.

well that sucks... but I'm 18 hrs into Grandia II right now, so this will gimme some more time to finish it before going into another RPG haha.
