wow, I HOPE they make a DC version!

New commercial Dreamcast game is always good. I also hope they will port it to the console and i am ready to preorder.

My interest is piqued. I hope there is a DC version, although I wish the spaceship looked a little sleaker. I'd like to pick up a copy of this and fast striker, the recent printing of fast striker only seemed to last for a couple of days once they actually started selling them.

Interesting news: Neo XYX sounds like it is a remake loosely based on an indie game called XYX. You can even see if you watch some of the videos, that the graphics from the one screenshot, and the first level graphics, appear to be based somewhat on graphics from this game.

Not really, it's just based on this game. Gameplay, graphics and music are new and specifically made for the Neo version.

It is a PC game that sounds like it was made with one of the variations of gamemaker (though it looks pretty good, retro in a good way, imo). And here is a link to a 3 level demo of it!

I haven't tried out the demo yet, but if this were just a "mere" port of the same game to neogeo/DC, I would probably still be happy and buy it. It looks pretty awesome from the videos.

Tried out the demo. Despite what NG Dev Team said, the first stage, the ship (there are multiple characters), and enemies in the demo all look very similar to the neoxyx demo they showed.

Doesn't bother me too much as it really looks and plays like a good quality retro game! But if you don't mind potentially spoiling some of the experience, try out the demo for pc linked above.
