Ultima 4: Quest of the Avatar is a CRPG wherein you control a hero with a team of up to eight adventurers in a quest across the fantasy world of Britannia. The ultimate goal of the game is to become the 'Avatar,' thus becoming a guiding light to the people. This is accomplished by exploring the world and achieving mastery of eight 'virtues', and lastly reading the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom.

The game mechanics are typical CRPG fare, where party members gain levels to improve their powers, obtain better equipment, learn new spells, combat monsters, and solve puzzles.

Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar is the fourth in the series of Ultima computer role-playing games. It is the first in the "Age of Enlightenment" trilogy, shifting the series from the hack and slash, dungeon crawl gameplay of its "Age of Darkness" predecessors towards an ethically-nuanced, story-driven approach. Ultima IV is different among role-playing games in that the game's story does not center on asking a player to overcome a tangible ultimate evil.

Wow cool that the DC got a game like this due to the lack of RPG's.

By advance what do you mean ? Nothing will ever reach retail standard by sega any homebrew is always factor 2x below like any system where hobby coders .. If by advanced you mean 3d and like a retail game this takes far more work then 1 person can do by them self..

You need artist many coders api's that work low level asm and sound routines and all those people to work together for free.. project like xeocider took 8 years for example

Most Advanced projects never get started or completed

What you looking at here is one of my first ports from 2003 when full sound vmu saving and such was not very common

It's a native dos game running fullspeed on console this runs the dos exe's and game files

If there was interest i would update it main point of this was to get every port i did out for people to see it's 2003 standard and was lost many years locked in nrg file that did not burn :)
