I see you offered to write an updated tutorial for repacking. Would you be able to write something geared towards a windows 10 PC and repacking NFL Blitz 2000? I run a fan forum called NFLBlitzFans.com where we update the roster for these games. Currently I have working updates for the N64... I have been getting requests from users for a updated dreamcast patch (which my tooling can do, if I can figure out repacking :\ ).

Thanks!
Jake

Hi, bin2boot doesn't seem to work properly. I am at final step. And I am not sure about where to find 1st_read.bin. I am little confused about ip.bin and 1st_read.bin. Which one is it after I saw bootfile.bin? I dumped files from my original games, bios, and flash via bba.

yeah AFAIK bin2boot doesn't work with x64 or windows10

that's actually quite a big problem, maybe somebody can compile the tools for w10 and\or x64, but i don't know if the source code for bin2boot was ever distributed
--------

bootfile.bin needs to be renamed to IP.BIN. 1st_read.bin is the game binary. if you can't find 1st_read.bin that means you either have a Windows CE game (0WINCEOS.BIN) or a homebrew of some kind

I only see 1st_read.bin in hex editor at the moment. There are more than one 1st_read.bin through.

------

Is there a way to use the other program instead of bin2boot?

it would really help to know what you're trying to do

there is CDI4DC and MDS4DC which do the same thing, but from my experience CDI4DC has less boot reliability and the CDI render process is a lot slower than bin2boot

But I need to get 1st_read.bin from bin first. I am not sure how. I will use cdi4dc after that.

it should've been extracted when you opened the ripped .bin files with isobuster and copied files to your cd root directory.
