Well, there it is, I finally managed to make a Remix version of this game ;)
I changed 68 musics out of 71 (I only have 3 musics where I didn't find a match).
Tell me what you think and what could be changed :)

Super Street Fighter 2X Remix Champion Edition

So I decided to finally give your version a playthrough on my free time and burned it on a blank disc.

So there seems to be a few errors in regards to song selection. So the following tracks, The Victory screen theme, Balrog (Claw) stage, The Here Comes a new challenger theme, and Honda Near KO theme (BGM test # 54, 10, 56, 19 respectively in the games Sound Option test if that helps any) are inexplicably not the CPS1 audio renditions but instead ones from the Genesis/Mega Drive version of Street Fighter II, with the only exception being track 19 which is using the Arrange version of the track. Outside of that everything else is correct, tho certain tracks like Fei-Long and DeeJay for example are a bit too short so it tends to cut off mid-fight :'(

I must admit tho, it's certainly nice to play this game with CPS1 audio tracks. Wish the game provided this as a feature officially.

If there's any questions you may have, let me know, otherwise that's about all the major feedback I got.

Thank you for all your feedback, I will look at that but actually I did not find all the CPS1 sounds and I had to go on some sounds on the Genesis / Mega Drive version.

I left for CPS1 on your youtube link:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... HvjJRz-gFi
I started by downloading all the CPS1 and then comparing them.

The Victory screen theme -> it is this sound there that I should have put but for the moment I do not see which one I changed instead (or not) and by what ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dJKhX6 ... x=194&t=0s

Balrog (Claw) stage (Vega in english) -> Yes indeed error on my part, I will change it and it will be in v2. This is the sound I should have put :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsLrXo8 ... &index=185

The Here Comes a new challenger theme -> this is the sound TOCYU_38.ADX but not found on the youtube link so I put the megadrive version instead. If you can find it I can change.

Honda Near ko -> Yes indeed error on my part, I will change it and it will be in v2. This is the sound I should have put :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsK9-pE ... i&index=90

For too short sounds, I took the length of the original sounds of SSF2X. I can redo them to make them longer. Besides Deejay and Fei Long, are there others that you think we could extend ?

Edit : do you have that sound in game for The Victory screen theme ? I put it as an attachment

That's it I found for The Victory screen theme. I did not understand the numbers you gave me :)
The number #54 is the file STEND_36.ADX (Stage End). So I can replace it too ;)

For "here comes a new challenger", I found these 2 links. Which one do you think?

You're welcome. Thank you for doing this project.
So let's see here...
Edit : do you have that sound in game for The Victory screen theme ? I put it as an attachment

It should be this track here...

The link you provided doesn't play the track at all oddly enough.

Link you provided for Balrog (Claw) stage is correct.

The Here Comes a new challenger theme -> this is the sound TOCYU_38.ADX but not found on the youtube link so I put the megadrive version instead. If you can find it I can change.

Found it!

Link you provided for Honda Near KO theme is correct.

Realistically, you wanna make sure EVERY stage theme (Especially the Character Select Vs. track #52) runs indefinately or for as long as possible (if you take into consideration of the games Training mode which plays stage themes out for as long as someone is on it training or people playing other main modes with timer disabled). If this just isn't feasibly possible due to space restrictions, then I would suggest a 396 sec. length for stage music and a 99 sec. Length for Near KO stage music.

If you need to make additional space, there is always audio compression (tho I'm not a fan of this method) or better yet removing tracks that are useless. Track 71 is obsolete since it's the Network Lobby theme (A mode that is no longer functional sadly), Tracks 63, 64, 66 which are part of the games Tournament mode which isn't even available for play in this version of the game. Track 65 which is an unsed Q sound sample. Track 59 which is the Bonus stage's track that aren't available in this version (tho they can be enabled within the games hidden dips witch settings)

Hope this helps.

The numbers I've provided are based on the in-game "Sound Options" BGM test found in the "Options Menu" of the game. So you can use it as reference to what tracks I'm specifically referring to.

Yes I understood after :)
For the length of the music I can easily extend them because the game is 160 MB. So I still have a lot of space ;)

For the length of 396 seconds I'm afraid that it will slow down the game if it loads the music in memory. 4-5 minutes should not be a problem. and 100 seconds for Near KO either.
