The downloads in post #61 are the widescreen version and work with the cockpit view cheat code.

It works. Once you enable the cheat code, it will switch from rearview to cockpit mode. A restart from the menu is needed once the change is made. It's not complicated.

I tried the HUD?? patch to track03 on the (PAL) version, but I could not get it to run properly in demul. All the hex strings were found and replaced. No hash totals are given for verification. Not sure what is the problem.

It looks like the HUD update is to display a widescreen
HUD - so no big deal to me.

I remember that in "the iso zone" there was the version with rear camera and also the cockpit version.

I try to convert codebreaker code to hex of cockpit view but it's beyond the end of file of 1ST_READ.BIN so only with a codebreaker engine like a true codebreaker, emulators like redream, or dreamshell using patch functions.

You can try to do some tests step by step specially for hud in order to trying to keep the rearview mirror.
