DS Emulation? Is it even possible?

i was looking at dreamcast.wiki to see some different emulators and apparently there was more that 1 DS emulator at one point but they have no pages and looking them up didnt lead me anywhere. Now i am far from a technical person so as much as i THINK it would be possible i know nothing to support that claim so i ask: is DS emulation even possible? And if so or not is there proof of anyone trying? The DS was my first ever console so if theres any possibility of emulation i'd love to see it. otherwise feel free to tell me anything about it.
