Converting Other Sega Games?

In my creation of back-ups for my DC I've come across emulators for it that play, for example : all Genesis games on one disc, or the collection of Gameboy Zelda games. Which leads me to understand games from other systems can obviously be converted to a DC-playable format. But answer me this : What format are Sega-CD or Sega Saturn games in? And is there a way to create back-ups for them that will play on a Dreamcast?

Saturn emulation in dreamcast is shit. Unless you want to play shining force 3 at 2 frames per second, don't even try it.

Yabouse is a emulator focused on Mac/Linux/Win emulation of the Sega Saturn. The only reason there's a proof of concept Dreamcast branch is that one of the team members - BlueCrab; Coder of CrabEmu, is also a DC fan.

Sega CD is unlikely as two different projects barely have full-speed regular Genesis running, with slightly sub-par sound. Sega CD would be that much, and more to get running. I don't see it happening given the limitations of the DC.
