for the most part the default settings will work fine. if you can lower writing speeds that will always help though. one other setting that may help is over burn. i have used DJ on default settings with a high rate of success. for me, the trick was using good ISOs. are you downloading the games from here? if not you should give one of tux's uploads a try.SHADOWS ELITE wrote:are there specific settings when using Discjuggler and Alcohol 120...because I'm using default settings and so far I got about 13 cd's burned that said complete, but just read as music cd's.

this was really odd. successfully used memorex for DC games in the past. i had a few hundred of them and when i burned a game they worked fine. and i would have thought sony media would be good too? it might have been a combination of media and your burner?in the future i will try to stay away from these just to be safe.SHADOWS ELITE wrote:I must be having the same problem, I've used Sony CD-R and Memorex CD-R's and all them won't boot.
i am glad to see that you found something that works for you.SHADOWS ELITE wrote:Just picked up 100 Ridata CD-R and so far I'm 11 for 11 on burns, all self boot and work great.
you can burn at higher speeds and still get good burns, but it seems to be best to burn at lower ones. the error rate seems lower. i have used around 14x with alcohol 120% with out issues before.K_I_R_E_E_K wrote:Vasiliy wrote:Burning speed must be 4x or 8x .
