Bitfunx Dreamcast VGA Cable Suddenly Dies!

I was playing Confidential Mission and the screen started flickering. Suddenly I lost all video output. I switched it back to composite and it worked again so my hunch is it's not my Dreamcast. I read online it may have to do with the VGA signal being weak. It's rather strange though the signal would suddenly weaken or die. I was able to intermittently get it to work again by playing around with the cable but it didn't last. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this common?

I have had these cables die like that sadly .. I dont use them any more use normal vga cable and hdmi converter.. .
