someone has tried to make a non bootable .iso or .cdi image (i.e. with discjuggler a 4GB .cdi image), only to check if, the iso content can be accessed from the gdemu ?

Yes I have tried, and so have others, you can go to 2GB now.

interesting, so exactly like on emulators, bootable or not, every image bigger than 2GB it doesn't work

Its good! beats out the CD-R and GD-ROM! It is a nice upgrade! I like to think of it like the Dreamcast Pro!

sure lol
the 'darn' was referred to my Riven attempt
i was thinking to put all the gamefiles in a single image, but the crude set is at least 2.7 GB
so, it's needed a different solution
mumble mumble :)

Gotta use that linked tool. Several are around not just that one but its good.
Use an online resize tool first to resize https://bulkresizephotos.com/en then just drag/drop/convert

PVR is like the native format, huge speed boost using that, uses the GPU, really the highlight of DCMC!
