Someone with the adapter could test if a ps1 guncon would work?
It might just work as an analog controller as said in this post:

Hi.

Can anyone advice on what I need to buy to make a DC to PS/2 adapter (Use PS/2 Keyboard \ Mouse on DC) ?

Also, if someone could provide a schematic on how to connect what it'd be most welcome!

I ordered PS2 din jacks, STM32 boards, and Dreamcast controller extension cables so I'll have connectors that plug into the Dreamcast. My intent is just have PS2 adpaters so I can use PS2 mouse or keyboard. I have 1 DC keyboard but want a 2nd keyboard for typing of the dead multiplayer and I don't have DC mouse and not wanting to pay ebay prices for a mouse. I already have some old PS2 keyboards and mice.

But the idea or wish would be a way to plug in an NES lightgun into this adapter!!!!!! DC lightguns are pretty expensive on eBay so its just a wish but it would be so nice to have. I'm willing to pitch in a $20 donation or something. How crazy of an idea is this?

it will not work, firstly, the STM32 does not have enough power to emulate a light gun, secondly, the NES gun is differently arranged

Thanks for the quick reply and explanation. Any other lightguns that could work? Sounds like it would be a long shot to have a DIY-DC light gun alternative.

This thing gets pretty good reviews. Expensive though.

back on topic, I have questions about the PS2 wiring. I cut a DC controller extension cable and it has 6 wires. I checked the continuity of each but the 6th one goes to this top metal tab so I don't use that one right?

Then I have PS2 sockets so to confirm with those I would bridge Pin 1,4, and 5 all together? Meaning pin 1 goes to PA10 with a 10KOm resistor, pin 4 goes to +5V on the STM32, pin 5 with 10KOm resistor goes to PA9 then I bridge the +5V on the STM32 board to PA10 and PA9? I like to 2nd guess myself when looking at wiring diagrams so I apologize for the newbie questions.
