Hi Dakangel, for some reason I will agree with you as my last bought from JoshProd game's like Armed Seven, Finding Terry and Volgarr The viking i was kinda disappointment because I saw Volgarr is a version from free one which means bad frame rate and animation and not use all PowerVR settings. We are in 2019 and still play new games on 4:3 and don't have options for 16:9, the solution exist and the name is Espirall(This guy have made good job with 16:9 hack mode).

You said there is not SDL2 support yet and we can't see games like Guns Of Mercy or Giant Army, well all community like programmers, coders etc. must corporate each other to bring updated files, code whatever, so Dreamcast can support such this games and this people must be paid because not all of them have free time to spend(jobs, families etc.). I saw people Ian Micheal, Kazade , BlueCrab, Roel, Duranik etc. they do amazing stuff for Dreamcast and we must thank to them all time.

Last, if JoshProd try to revive the games like in the line of fire i am sure need funds more like 50.000 $ to have a least a proper game and of course a stable team which know a lot inside of Dreamcast hardware, tools etc. after that when people asking for online mode on new games they must understand we need new internet adapter with today standards like bba/wifi and disc you can add/ edit your network and save on adapter. The question is can DC fans support this kinda of stuff if happen on kickstarter?

Don't like it, then vote with your wallet.

Is this the thread you refer?

Yes.

My wallet prefer genocyder, gunlord x, or his newly switch games ported over those lazy older games he "Made".... Why he not help producing and reviving the game "in the line of fire" or the infinite "elysian shadows".

You honestly can't expect him to put money into an already funded kickstarted game such as Elysian Shadows. In the Line of Fire is also not going to get another shot, because the community didn't support the kickstarter when it was running, so that is the communities loss there. Sure he should have never felt pressured into showing it off so early, but he was unfortunately pushed into that position by the piece of shit guy on his team.

All you people bitching can go make your own games if you don't like it. Making games from scratch is way more time consuming than you seem to realize. Porting games will ALWAYS be more attractive because the assets and everything else is already created! When will you people realize that exclusives for the DC are few and far in between and have never been the case in as far as 90% of indie games have been concerned. We have ALWAYS gotten ports from other systems, and we will continue to get them.

I have worked on total conversion historical modifications for Battlefield 2 since 2016, and I am working on my 3rd mod now with my team. That shit isn't easy at all, and this current mod has taken my team well over a year and a half and is the most ambitious mod I have made thus far fully remaking Battlefield 1942 in the Battlefield 2 engine. You can see my current mod here.

https://www.moddb.com/mods/battlefield-1944

So yes, I do have game development experience, and I do know what it takes to create something completely from nothing. It is just way more feasible to port something from another console or PC or Mobile to Dreamcast than to fully write a story, create assets, and everything from scratch.

Dakangel you said a lots of wrong informations. I shared our beta of gigantic army on dreamcast on our facebook page a long time ago. We couldn t finish it because ram of the Dreamcast was not enough to make it work well due to big asset. And optimization take a lots of time. If you want a scoop we just port vulkaiser and enhanced the assets on dreamcast and we ll release it in October or November.

No thanks, you didn't Say what is the wrong information here, only that dreamcast customers eats everything your spoon drops.

You are doing good jobs producing/investing in cool games sometimes so exchange the "just port shoot em up game" for a better optimization you say it is needed ,for that fighting game you are producing and of course bring original good looking games to your supporters not only easy lazy Jobs.

i hope you use all the racing game money to produce/invest in better people to do better jobs and not being a scam for all.

*you just need to tell what is needed to optimize the games and even the commumity and myself can help if it is neccesary toconvert to 8x8 compatible tilesets ,of course talking in bussines languaje*

What I most hate about the internet is that everyone thinks they are specialist LoL.

While the trols are behind a computer wasting time your game reached the goal on kickstarter. Congrats Josh! I will always root for the people like you who produces instead of just talking <3

Hello

Here the wetransfer of our test on gigantic army https://we.tl/t-xmBePyp5dy :)

About programming i think we have nothing to prove i think :
- port atari st game on genesis and dreamcast (magic pockets) and add new musics.
- port psp game to dreamcast : 4x4 jam
- port pc steam game to dreamcast : battle crust (add tate mode) , finding teddy, armed seven (enhanced graphics and add new musics)
- port nec super cdrom to genesis and dreamcast (fx unit yuki)
- port pc steam game to switch and on ps4 soon.

- port pc steam game to sega saturn.

Telling that these jobs are easy, show that your skill in programming video game is really small. I prefer to have constructive feedback about customers than listen that. I reply to all message on my Messenger ;)

What are the differences between the PC and Switch ports? More enhancements on the Switch version? Also I think this game deserves it's own thread. ;)
