Cool, but just a tad pricey. Many games let you save to a VMU in any slot, so you'd just have to plug in a second controller with a VMU. I like that it has X-input for 360/XBone controllers or really most modern PC controllers.

Slightly off topic:
I've been playing Sega Rally 2 on PC with an Xbox One controller and on Dreamcast with the standard controller. The stiff analog stick on Dreamcast never bothered me until trying to play this game. It would be nice to use the Xbox controller on the Dreamcast, but I don't know if it would be worth it to me to spend $40 to do so.

As mentioned above, many games would allow you to work around the VMU issue by simply plugging another controller with a VMU into another controller port. That said, I think this device is coming out at a bad time. An official wireless Dreamcast controller is right around the corner and is likely to cost $50-$60, only a little more than this adapter. Personally, I'd rather have a more authentic experience but if you really love the PS3 or PS4 controller it could work for you.

Always nice to add a link to what you're talking about so people don't have to search for it themselves.

Nobody said anything about non-Dreamcast games. The controller converter doesn't have a vmu slot so the only way to save would be if the game allows saving to a vmu in another controller port.

The lost of VMU is not a great deal, most (if not all) controllers let you save in any VMU connected to any controller.

If it works good (and by good I mean without latency), it would be a nice solution to have a wireless controller, and high quality brand new analogs. Also, a good controller layout for fighting games.

I honestly don't think it's that expensive... remember that anyone building for Dreamcast won't sell too much units, so development costs will increase per unit cost.
