The first one's foreign patent dates back to June of 1994
and I have no idea what the other one means.

@crazietrufis. Any patent dated before 2005 would be considered irrelavant since SEGA normally will file a patent for console related hardware at least 4 years before R&D and issue it at least two years before actual development.

This patent is probably nothing important.
