[Help] modem

hi guys.
my problem is that i dont know what kind of modem i have, but i think is a 33k.

c ∈ 0122 X HKT-3030
SEGA ENTERPRISES, LTD. 670-14116A

can any1 help me out :P

Yes , it`s Pal modem and it`s 33kb/s .

should i get a 56k modem to do pc-dc?
or this just works fine?

PS: what is the diference ending with a A or a B?

yeah get a 56k a modem. difference is A does not require a line volatage simulator

but i still dont know what i need to setup my dreamcast online using a pc-dc server.
what material i need to conect my dc to my pc etc..
can any1 help me?

I used to have the exact same modem, but the "Revision A doesn't need a line voltage simulator" only counts for 56k modems. According to some spanish forum I once visited, that modem of yours needs this line voltage thingie. Haven't tried it myself, though, so I may be wrong :mrgreen:

yeah your going to want to buy a version A 56k modem from iether us or japan. the main reason is because no line voltage simulator. and the fact that you get 56k instead or 33k

You don't need 56k for pc-dc. PC modem can only upload at 33k so that's the max speed you can get.

EDIT: for materials you need
1. PC Voice modem
2. Model A DC modem (B with line voltage inducer)
3. PC with either Windows 98/ME, Linux, Mac
4. Phone Chord
5. Time to troubleshoot
PS2 Online Gaming
