GDEMU and VA0 Board Problem

Okay.

I have bought an Japan Dreamcast. And a GDEMU clone 5.15

So it was not saying Which VA board it has on bottom cover.
There was no 3.3V or 5V sign on GDROM either.

Only place i could look was;

Controller ports. I see 1 in circle in the right corner of controller ports. And thought device is an VA1 board.

After playing it with for some time (powered up and played about an hout total of 10-15 times.

One day it did not power on...

After checking mainboard and see IT WAS VA0 board. Then i have realised.

I have tried only dreamcast but no power.
I have tried GDEMU on a working VA1 DC and no any life either.

Do you think DC or GDEMU can be saved?

I would like to know too. I have a Japanese model. HKT-3000

I'm expecting a v5.20 GDEMU soon, so I want to be sure I won't accidentally ruin my system.
My Dreamcast can read burnt discs, so I'm guessing it's a VA1 revision, but I'm not 100% sure...

Hi,

The best way to make sure - open it up and check the metal plate of the GD-ROM drive. It must say, big and clear, "3.3V". If it doesn't, it's a 5V system, hence not recommended for a 3.3V device like the GD-Emus.

Mine has a big fat "3.3v" on it, thank you.

Do you think GDEMU can be repaired?
