GDEMU drawing power beyond the spec of the PSU?

It’s been suggested to me this evening that the reason why my GDEMU is giving me sound errors, visual errors (flying cars in Crazy Taxi) and freezes/resets is that the GDEMU is actually drawing power from the rail beyond the spec of the PSU - hence why my PicoPSU can’t handle it and why a stock PAL PSU blew a cap after two hours use along side it.

I have another thread on here from today with the full story of my GDEMU woes, and all the standard troubleshooting suggestions have been taken care of.

Has anyone here ever heard of GDEMU’s blowing PSU’s!?
