When buying a clone, everyone should understand that the difference in price is just the possibility of updating

It's worth noting that not all 5.15B clone boards use the real GDEMU's SAM3U2E. Some are now shipping with the SAM3U4E like the original clone boards.

there has been new development with the newer firmware to fix Skies intro freezing, CV jewel bug, and disc swap efficiency for D2

Just buy one on eBay, update, brick, then return

Remind me to never buy anything from you on eBay.

Can confirm this - picked up a couple recently to use in systems with dead lasers, both had the 34 chip despite being pictured with the 32. Both from different sellers. False advertising, well of course! Crystals on the back of the board correct at least.

Also the cut-down connectors they are using on these ‘5.15b’ boards are a bit hit and miss, one needed some careful positioning to work properly. Not sure why they make them this way when the correct connector is available and hardly expensive.

I know it’s a touchy subject for some, but really I’d stick with toughing it out and buying an original if you use the Dreamcast a decent amount. But maybe that’s just me.
