Is it possible to DIY a Twin Stick?

Post by Banditpaw1 »

After some googling, I cant find much on how the twin stick is detected by the Dreamcast. Is it a modified controller or is It complete unique hardware connecting to the Dreamcast itself? Id like to make my own as the actual construction of the controller physically is fairly simple. I can find plenty on people making 360 sticks but nothing on the Dreamcasts or even the Saturns twin stick for that matter.

Any input would be greatly appreciate thanks.

Hi Megavolt- I read the Twin Stick technical doc you posted above. It says the DC Twin Stick has 8 buttons, but the stick only has 6 (A, B, X, Y, D and start). What is the doc referring to?

it's a bug in the document
look at "device ID" and "Read format"
