Gameplay & Story

I'm only one hour in the first game game as I write this, I usually wait to do a review until I have finished a game, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one so I decided to do it already.. Also I'm only doing Elansar atm, as its sequel is more of the same, made by the same guy...Maybe I'll add Philia later when I played it

You are at an island & you need to fix your boat in order to be able to leave again. Whilst looking for tools, you need to explore the place & solve puzzles to unlock new places. It plays & feels totally Myst, which imo is a good thing as I love point & click games. You either control the cursor with your analog stick, an action button, one to open your inventory, etc...or with the DC mouse which is also very responsive, left button is your action button, right calls up your inventory and the thumb button takes you back to the main menu, plain and simple.

Seems saving is done automatically.

Graphics

The opening movie looks sort of Saturn-esque with some grain, but it all looks nice and does what it needs to do. As for the game, it is all the pre-rendered detailed stuff you'd expect from such a game. It all moves ok too, no sluggish frame skipping when you move to the next screen or anything.

Sound/Music

It seems to be all soundscapes so far, the sea, birds, crickets, machines, etc...all adds up to the atmosphere of the game, the occasional click & dang when you open a
door (which gives you a jolt when using the jump pack); spot on really

Replay

As far as adventure/puzzle games go I always think there is room for replay value, be it once a year or so, as I tend to forget everything over time.

Overall
8/10

A well deserved 8 imho, because (again) Orion designed & programmed the entire game himself, an as far as one man projects go, he really did a great job. Keep up the good work man

Thanks mazonemayu! Great to hear this is as solid game as I expected it to be.
